![]() Members of SUKA were invited to attend the Igorot UK disco party on 29 September 2007. Those who took up the invitation had a chance to engage in animated conversation with the Igorot UK members. Our Secretary Alfredo 'Boying' Taqueban is one of the SUKA member who attended this event.
He said:
"The party was a very jovial affair and was enjoyed tremendously by everyone. The entertainment was mainly in the form of dance: cha cha, line and free-style dancing. The impromptu line dancing led by the Igorot menfolk was a joy to be seen and was performed in their own Igorot style. On behalf of SUKA, Marifaye rendered an intermission song to everyone's delight. Once again, this pretty young lass proved that she can reach a high note. Please see our video clip below."

The Filipino communtiy in the UK celebrates their 109th Independence Day at Morden Park, London. Eventhough it was pouring down with rain, this does not hender our Kababayans as the celebration goes on.Thousands of Filipinos all over Europe attended this event. There are number of our fellow Saguntonian members who attended this historic occassion, they are Roselee,Marifaye,Imee,Riza,Vangie Ocampo and kids,Shirley,Russell and kids,Doris and kids,Maret,Jun and his partner There were lots of boot selling foods cooked by our kababayan. We enjoyed eating halo-halo,daing,pinakbet and all kinds of traditional Filipino foods. It was a horrible day but seing our idol Sam Milby was worth it. Sam Milby was from the Philippine Big Brother,Sheryn Regis was from the Philippine Star In a Million, Allan K who made the crowd laugh were the guest stars for this celebration on the 23rd and 24rth of June 2007. Dear Fellow Saguntonians, I just want to say HUGE congratulations to all of our officers and to all Saguntonians! It was a successful inauguration night! WELL DONE to all of you! Particularly to Roselee for her hard work! Not to mention our mothers and fathers who brought and cooked our mouth-watering food and beverages. Thank you all for your exceptional contributions! I am so PROUD of our youths, they have shown us their commitment and willingness to participate and it is a HUGE achievement for our association. Their are many people to thank and if I missed you, I’d like you to know that your help has not been forgotten, our inauguration night was a great success because of you. From tiny tots to seniors; YOU MAKE IT HAPPEN!
Every Saguntonian on that night can hold their head high and be proud, as we have started a new chapter of our story that will continue for many years to come! Once again congratulations all! JOB WELL DONE!
